Hello,

I don't know this is the good place to ask our question, but we need to start somewhere.

We are using mobiflight with Prepar3d to build a F16 simulator.
All is going well for buttons, lcds, leds, and so on.
We also want to make a DED panel. (Date entry display).
Is this possible with FSUICP and / or Mobiflight.
If no, does somebody know a solution for this?

Thanks,
Jan Hein

Hi Jan Hein!

Welcome to MobiFlight!

Since you're using the P3D with the F16, you've come to the right place.

You are not writing whether it is possible to read the data you want to display from the simulator. It doesn't matter whether the F16 is a standard aircraft or an addon. The following applies to both: the data must be readable. If they are readable, you have to worry about the display, because you don't have the display 1: 1, do you?
Here, e.g. to use an LCD, 4x20 characters are recommended here. You have to check whether the existing characters can be accommodated on 4 lines with 20 characters. If that doesn't fit, maybe you can use 2 LCDs?

Wow... that's a lot of information and data. I think using a 20x4 LCD Display could be working if you are ok with making some compromises. I am not sure if you can fit everything into the 20x4 display though.
I see your example requires 5 lines and 24 characters. Maybe you can leave some data out and squeeze the rest into the 20x4 display? And then you use another 2x16 display to display the rest?
Have a great day!
Sebastian
