Hi!
I have just finished wiring my MCP and to figure out which switch goes to which input I was going to use the debug function, I have the log checkbox on and set it to DEBUG. when I flick a switch northing comes up in the log indicating which pin the switch is connected to, I have uploaded the config with all buttons to the board. when I press the buttons I can see the light blinking on the board indicating that it is connected.

I discovered the debug function in this post https://www.737diysim.com/copy-of-programming-with-mobiflight-1

Hi Sebastian,

This thread is already a bit older and I openedd a similar one once myself.
Still having issues with monitoring button inputs in Debug mode.

Sim and MF running and connected. Debug Mode set on. But no logging...

It appears that this is only happening sometimes. I haven't figured out the pattern yet.
Just raising this, as I am now trying to get it running since 1 hour.

Thanks,
Michael

Hi
I never get any trouble with the DEBUG for years.
Can you confirm your Buttons work fine (electrical) .

You can simply test this with a verry easy Experimental build.
Create one Button Device..... E.g. on Pin 5 .
Upload it to the Board and maybe make a Reset if you like.
NOW Use 2 Dupont wires.... One is set into a GRD Pin..... The other is set to Pin 5..... The "open ends" lay on your table without touching together ( Not on a metal plate or so )
If you now bring the two wires together this is a PRESS..... If you cancel the connection and the wires no longer touch each other this is the RELEASE.
Thats the most easy way to build a electrical switch !

Result:
If Logging work fine here then the error must be in your electrical setup.... Maybe a wrong GRD potential, a broke switch or a issue on the Mega.
If logging also not work there must be a problem on a other spot we need to figure out.
BUT.... I not think its a bug in the Logging System. This work many years and we get no confirmed reports of a bigger issue here from other users.
Good Luck !
