Hello,

I'm having an issue with one of my arduino mega board connected to MobiFlight.
MF, for some reason..., has duplicated one of the 2 arduino boards connected to my PC
This board copy has the same functions as the original one. (Same firmware, same name, same serial number, same port...)
So now I have 3 boards connected, one being a copy....
Is the a way to delete this "ghost" board copy ?

Thanks

That's an interesting problem.

Can you provide a screenshot of your settings dialog with the modules?
Have a great day!

I will sound stupid but I don't know how to insert a screenshot in this forum !
When I click on the image icon I get 2 quotes

if I insert the image link C:\Users\admin123\Pictures\A1.PNG between the quotes it does not work in text or preview mode
Drag and drop does not seem to do any better...

Hi

Its not possible to upload pictures to the forum here. YOU must provide the picture to a webadress.....
If you have own webspace/cloud etc you can use it. If not there are free Filehoster in the Web.... Google for that!
There you can upload the picture and you will get a adress where this picture is located ( mostly also a Thumbal Link for a small version) . Simply Copy paste this adress between the quotes.
Good Luck !

What happens if you connect only the board that shows twice? Will it still show twice?
What happens if you upload a standard Arduino sketch. Will it show twice as Arduino Board too?

Maybe there is a problem with an orphaned registry entry which let’s MobiFlight enumerate the same board twice.

Please try the before mentioned things and let us know how it turned out.
Have a great day!

Hello Sebastian,

I've done the 2 actions you suggested.
With only the duplicated board connected

With the same board connected with the Arduino standard sketch uploaded

Looks like the registry issue is where to dig from

Thank you,
Jean-Claude

Can you please check
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Enum\USB

For suspicious entries. You should find a folder with the PID VID Ids for your Arduino Board. It is safe to remove all sub folders. On reconnecting the boards afterwards the required entries will be added by Windows again.

I can’t promise that this will fix your problem but it is worth a try.

I can add a check in MobiFlight to not add a device twice later.
Have a great day!

Hello Sebastian,

You were right, the problem was laying somewhere in the USB driver.
I've removed the (only one) Arduino USB diver, re-boot the PC has the "ghost" Arduino had gone.

Thanks very much for your help.
And, BTW, thanks a million for developing the Mobiflight software. It a a real pleasure to work with it. It's easy, user friendly and saves hours of Arduino Coding.
