Hi guys,

I am newbbie on all this arduino, so just bought an arduino 2560 and installed it plus 2 encoder rotaries and I am traing to set them up for HDG and CRS on a couple of default airplanes such as BE58, king air 350, etc. so I wen to setting in mobiflight and added the encoders, ndamed them one as HDG and the other one as CRS then selected the pins, when it comes to the type I just leave it like it is 1 detent pèrcycle (11).

the INPUTS, selected the device, then on action types I have event ID and click on HEading bug incres or decrease, click on use then ok. avtiveted the inputs the run but nothing happens when I use the rotaries.

can you pls help, what am I doing worng here?

thanks

Hello Emmanuel,

Welcome to Mobiflight!

You start right away with the more demanding things.
Mobiflight is not a self-runner. Therefore, the tutorials have been set up for beginners.

Which EventIDs do you use for HDG and CRS, which parameters?
Did you take the presets that Mobiflight offers you?

thank you, I could finally made it work..

Now I am using dafault aircrafts such as Baron 58, King Air 350... when I am on the BE58 I cannot find the way to setup encoders to manage the alert altitude, do you have the event IDs to decreace and to increase?

on the other hand I added a file "AltAlertGau_2" into the main gauges folder so I can add a gauge and get an audio alert altitude, is there a way to manage that with an encoder?

or is there any other tool /app to get alert altitudes and to manage it with an encoder?

thanks for your help

Hi Emmanuel,

if you use the standard aircrafts from FSX or P3D you can use the standard EventIDs and Offsets.
These EventIDs and Offsets are in separate lists which you can find in your Simulation: ..\simulation_root_folder\Modules\FSUIPC Documents\
Here you will find all the things you need to "manipulate" your sim via Mobiflight.

If you use 3rd-Party products like your AltAlertGau_2 or i.e. other gauges, you have to ask the developer which EventIDs or Offsets he use.

But: normally these gauges work with values from the sim. Use the lists above and find out which values are used. Then you can use this for you gauge(s) and if it make sense to change it with an encoder.
