First, Thank you both very much for taking the time to help.
Unfortunately things seem worse not better.
I rebooted the computer and started FSX through Steam, FSX "help" "about" shows: 10.0.62615.0 (FSX.20150710-1055)
I started Mobi, with the log set to "info" and it gave this:
11/01/2019 09:54:14(226): Preventing entering EnergySaving Mode: KeepAlive!
11/01/201909:54:14(224): ExecutionManager.TestModeStop:Stopped test timer
11/01/2019 09:54:12(152): MobiflightModule.connect: Connected to Default at COM4 of Type MobiFlight Mega (DTR=>True)
11/01/2019 09:54:12(55): Checking for updates
11/01/2019 09:54:11(863): MobiflightModule.disconnect: Disconnected MobiFlight Mega at COM4

"Parking Brake" Config file was already loaded

BUT the FSCUIP Status was showing a yellow warning triangle and there was no green run symbol so I couldn't even try and interface it with FSX.
The blue test button works and my LED flashes.
I would send you screen shots but when I click the picture icon on this editor it just inserts
Thanks again for your time, I can tell you the real 747 is a lot simpler!
