hi there I have 4 lcd display 16x2 . all adres is 27/20/25/26. i have connected it to one arduino and the problem is that is can only
read 2 lcd at a time. mobiflight do not keep my settings as i add the lcd and save it. when i start mobi again i have to add the screen and button
everytime again. if i add 2 lcd with different adress it works but do not want to work with 4 lcd with different address. i connected it as
per youtube sda all together and scl together and then to the arduino mega 2560 . i tried to use 2 arduino boards so that 2 screens on the one
arduino and the other two on the other arduino but still not work any helpon this much appreciated thanks

welcome to MobiFlight!

It is correct. In the moment there is a limit of 2 LCD per MEGA. So you have to split them on two MEGAs.
So it's not your mistake, it's a limitation by the developer (in the moment. Maybe, that the limit will raise)

As Stephan said... 2 Displays (Adresses) is the Limit for ONE Mega Board at the Moment,

But i not understand whats the problem if you split it.

if you set 2 Displays on Mega 1 .... and 2 Displays on Mega 2 then it should work . In that Case Each Mega must work with 2 Different Adresses.... But you can work with Same Adresses on the other Mega ... like 27 and 20 on Mega 1 ( Display 1,2) and again 27 and 20 on Mega 2 (Display 3,4)
Just get shure you use correct wire system ( Power and GND and the 2 Data Lines for Display 1,2 from Mega 1 and other 4 Lines for Display 3,4 on Mega 2 .... Not cross or sum the Lines between the 2 Megas !

hi thanks i now know you can only use 2 lcd on one mega . my other problem is that when i create all the lcd and buttons and encoders in the setting and upload it to the board.it have no errors as upload complete . when i go back in the settings and display mobiflight modules all is gone.
i have to do it all the time over and over again . help will be much appreciated thanks

Hi. Do you mean your settings in the placeholder Lines are gone ??

We know that. this is a bug and its already fixed. In Next release ( Maby this or next week) the problem is gone.

If you got another issue then please explane more detailed !

I talked yesterday with Sebastian via WhatsApp. He is still think about a little problem in a other bug.
But i already suggest to release the current hotfix as soon as possible. (Maby work on the other problem in the overnext release)

Whatever... Your Request (LCD Bug) is still fixed and work 100% on our testing area.... So the patch will solve your problems pretty sure !

We looking forward for a release next time... Maby on the Weekend ( There Sebastian is of work and have a bit of time)

Please Note....

Myself and Stephan are just make the forum support.... And we do testings and brainstormings with Sebastian (DocMoebius) .

BUT... All the programming work and dates of releases are HIS part.

He told us last week he will release new version on weekend. But it not happen. so i think he have a lot of work or take time with his family.
Appology for that but I can not tell you a exact date when something is coming or not. If Sebastian will take another week than thats a fact we can not change !

The only i can tell you.... The Problem is fixed in the current BETA Version.... So Next Release will include this fix 100% !

i have downloaded the beta version again and tried it .it still not keeping the board settings have to put in the settings again over and over again.very nice program
if it will work.
any news on the new version or any other help much appreciated thanks i cant work like this is there a fix for this. i have written 6 msg for this problem
and still not fixed. it looks like i have to go back to the arduino code at ,least that will work thanks

?? Where do you download the BETA Version ?

This was just a link for some persons in a privat section.

If you mean the oficial link.... THATS not the Beta Thats the old Live Version you can download since 6 Months and this NOT Include your needed Hotfix of LCD Displays !

Just Note.... If Sebastian got time he will sometimes release new versions every week with pretty nice features.
But there are also peroides where he stop working on Mobiflight for some months completly !
This is Freeware Project.
You can not disire for hotfixes within days or weeks !

I can garentee the fix will come. But again... i can not tell you when. Maby Today... Maby in a week.... Maby in a Month..... Maby next year.
I also wish that Sebastian will work on Mobiflight 24/7 but i understand he got a job and a famaly ! Please accept this also !

Thats right....

beta Version is not for puplic. This was just a internal test for 4 Persons. Cause the main thematic is to solve the "Logging Debug" Problem. ..
So Only a small number of Persons that have this problem on there computer got the Pre Version !


We decide long time ago to NOT release Beta Versions for the puplic users. Cause mostly those Beta files are not completed.
For example the Beta Version on my system that include the LCD Fix have lots of premade stuff ( Like a Variable System for Output Configs) that is not working and only in the GUI is implement.... And There for example Outputs on 7 Segment Display not work cause Sebastian test also a new comunication System for FSUIPC in the same Version !

You see.... Those Versions are not useable for you.... the LCD will work but lots of other things are not running in these early phase of release !
