On the 737 and in PMDG 737

Some of the annunicators have a dim state and bright state

(On a B737 overhead there are 9 blue Annunciators that should be Duel Brightness. They are as follows: ( L VALVE OPEN) ( R VALVE OPEN) ( L COWL VALVE OPEN) ( R COWL VALVE OPEN) ( L ENG VALVE CLOSED) ( R ENG VALVE CLOSED) ( L SPAR VALVE CLOSED) ( R SPAR VALVE CLOSED) ( VALVE OPEN)

For example
Turn the crossfeed knob on the fuel panel. When the valve is moving the annunciator is Bright, when it is open it's changes to Dim

Is this possible?

Hi. welcome to Mobiflight.

At first please not open 2 Topics for same Problem.... I Delete the other one !

About Problem:

No its not possible directly.... But with a improvisional Logic maby.

Here the issue is PMDG itself. As i know ( Please correct me if i´m wrong) PMDG simply not support this data. the Offset of those Announciators are always 0 if OFF and 1 if ON. There exist no "2" if they are dimmed.... (Or another offset we can read out this status information).
Maby a advanced AddOn like ProSim737 or Project Magenta 737 will support this but here i´m not sure already if the do this work for that little optical feature.

Summary.... If we have no way to read this information from sim we can not show it.

BUT: With electrical hardware stuff and maby own scripts nearly everything is possible in this world !

For example you be able to build your Panel with 2 LED inside this element.... One Bright and one Dimmed Low Bright LED.
If you build now a script for example that read the Valve Switch and then you say " If Switch is moved from a to B then Disable LED 1 ... Enable LED 2 Wait 5 Seconds and then Disable the LED 2 again and go bakc to LED 1. Then it looks like you want.
This is then not showing the status in Sim .... But it "simmulates" the optical situation.

***
With Mobiflight ( So without own scripting) this is possible only verry poor.
For Example... If a LED is dimmed aslong Gear is Down ( I know not true.... Just for example) then you can use the Gear Value for a Precondition.
You Create 2 Configs now...
First will light the Bright LED and is working aslong Gear Offset shows GEAR UP .... Second Config will light the dimmed LED and workes if GEAR DOWN.
But: Things like "Wait 5 Seconds" or "Light for xx Seconds" are not possible in Mobiflight. For so advanced things you must create a own code !

***
Last alternate is a Electrical solution.
For example in your Fuel Valve
You can build a electrical part that will be connectet in the Switch.... If switch is turn then for xx seconds it will cut Line A (Bright LED) and powwerd Line B (Low LED) and after xx seconds it swap bag,... Maby with a Spring system that is start with Button Turn..... Or with a little microcontroller in the system.

Sorry for Long text.... I just try to give you some impressions what is possible with advanced knowledge !
Good Luck !

Yeh makes sense.

The dome light has a Bright/Off/Dim settings using the 0,1,2

Just wanted to check if it were possible with the others

Thanks

As i know....NO. But my information must not be 100% correct.

Basicly in the Sim the Light have 2 Status.... So there must exist "somewhere" a Information.
Badly i think PMDG do this just "Internal" and maby as i said just in a "optical illusion". So the Dimmed status not showing real the status of the valve... Maby they simply do the same like i said and say " If Valveswitch is moved dimm LEd for xx seconds"
Whatever.... If something is "internal" in the PMDG System we not be able to read it.

Suggestion:
You can request for that in the PMDG Forum. Normlay these guys always look forward to give us a "perfect" Simulation. Maby they also see a need for that and will include this in the next Servicepack ( or in a future Version of the B737 8 MAX )
Good Luck !
