Hi Guys
Well my Cessna 172 ( my version) for FSX panel is coming along great just waiting for the 16x2 to arrive so I can display Temp and Time

I thought I would add the "Outer, Middle and Inner" marker lights.
The ones that are activated when approaching the runway
I have the LD's working in Test mode as an output
The problem I have is I cannot find the offsets for these even though they work and are activited when approaching the runway in FSX using the C172
Hope you understand my question

Hi Ian,

try the offsets 0x0BB0 (OUTER MARKER - blue), 0x0BAE (MIDDLE MARKER - amber) and 0x0BAC (INNER MARKER - white).
The Problem is that if the marker are active it is a steady signal, not flashing.
For testing use the slew-modus of FSX and put the plane on the marker. Note: Inner Marker you will normaly find on military airfields. If I remember right KSFO has an inner marker.

I helped myself by switching an operational amplifier NE555 as a multivibrator in front of the LED for each marker. So you can give every marker his individual flash-frequency
If you can wait, in one of the next Mobiflight versions it is planned to realize to configure the flashing of LEDs.

Thanks Stephan
Where did you find those offsets?
Works Ok althought the outer maker comes on at times when maybe it shouldn't
Looking forward to the up coming versions of Mobiflight :)

Hi Ian,

I found them in the normal FSUIPC offset status list

0BAC 2 Inner Marker: activated when TRUE Ok-SimC No
0BAE 2 Middle Marker: activated when TRUE Ok-SimC No
0BB0 2 Outer Marker: activated when TRUE Ok-SimC No

Not only the OM comes when he shouldn't. If you fligh over a marker up to 5000ft you can receive them even if you are not flying in landing direction. It works much like an NDB, only pointing upwards at a narrow angle. The angle gets narrower from OM to MM and then to IM. If you fly through this angle you will receive it.
