Thanks MF, let me realize my dream of driving. I have encountered a problem now. I want to ask everyone. I am using the IIC LCD1602 to realize the autopilot display. The ALT is normal and the VS is normal. How can I not display the HDG, ARP and NAV characters? How can I solve this problem?

Hi

As always... tell us what Simulator you use.... FSX, P3D or Xplane
Tell us what aircraft you use.... Standard FSX, AddOn ??

then we can check for the Offsets.
Good Luck !

If you use standard Fsx c172, then under config fsuipc, select appropriate preset.
You should check out MF project section . There very detail to build complete c172 radio stack from albeagle and ec-cts.
Good luck.

Thatchi is right.... for C172 Standard Aircraft there are detailed projects here.

Basicly i not understand your question finaly.... Do you not find the Offsets for HDG and the other problematic parts ?

Last Note:

Most users build the C172 with 7 Segment Displays.... Not with LCD 16/2 . Basicly this is also possible....
BUT You should remember.... LCD Configs allow only 4 (5) different values. So you need to plan your panel in that limits.
Good Luck !

Thank you for your reply!
I am referring to the problem of displaying HDG characters on the AP after the HDG is turned on. Does not involve offset issues.

That can be tricky. LCD has 4 place holders to display values and you have to define either integer or character but not both for each. Offset is numeric only. So you have to be more specific, what character you want to display, where and under what circumstances .

Thats not 100% Correct !

The "result" of a Compare is internal like a "string" and can include numbers and characters .

For Example you Create a Config and read a Offset like Parkingbrake ( For example 1 is Brake Set ... 0 is brake released )
Now you use "compare" tab and you say " IF Value = 1 THEN "BRAKE SET" (You wrote BRAKE SET in the THEN Field)
Now the Output Value of Config is "0" if Value is 0 and its "BRAKE SET" if Value is 1
If you use this Config in a LCD Display (via Placeholder) and you use NINE Placeholders like %%%%%%%%% then in case of Offset Value 1 on your LCD the Placehodler will write "BRAKE SET" on the Display.

More detailed example:
You can say here "IF Value = 1 THEN.... "SET" ELSE ...."OFF"
On your Display you Hardcode the Word BRAKE ..... Like "BRAKE : %%%"
If value = 1 then its Compared to SET in other case ( If value is not 1 and logical 0 at the moment) then its Compared to "OFF"
Finaly your LCD Display show "BRAKE: SET" or "BRAKE: OFF" .... Whatever the used offset is justa integer !

You see... You can work with "words" instead of Numbers aslong the "indicator" is the Offset Value Itself.

Thank you everyone, the problem is solved! I won't upload photos, so no photos. Now HDG NAV can be displayed, that is, ARP conversion display is not enough.
