Could this feature be eventually implemented?

I know Prosim but I haven't had the time to check for integration options.
Currently the stream info is not understood ... but it seems to be an interesting way. Thanks for pointing it out.
Have a great day!

Sebastian,

The protocol is very straightforward. A user-defined label is assigned to a parameter in Prosim's configuration menu. All that's required is a ASCII string with the label name and the state. In the attached example, I have defined the parking brake switch as: PB_ON and PB_OFF. I send the following string to Prosim with PuTTY to set the parking brake On or OFF:

PB_ON=1
PB_OFF=1

Hi, if I'm not wrong, Prosim should work also via FSUIPC. This would also allow us to use MF via network (WideFS).
Am I right?

Prosim works fine with FSUIPC indeed but not all the offsets required for a home cockpit are included. Project Magenta has their own set of offsets to complement FSUIPC but I don't think all of those offsets are supported by Prosim. Having access to the serial port would allow access to all of Prosim's functions.

I think you can create your "own" offests in range of PM offsets :)

Could you please quickly explain how PM is related to ProSim?

OK. When you use ProSim, you probably don't use PM. Therefore you can use their offsets for ProSim too. I tried it with one PM offset, works good, but the only disadvantage is very slow response.
Therefore I agree with Pierre, serial port support would be great!!

Thanks in advance,
Lukas

I will experiment with the FSUIPC free range of offsets.

66C0-66C0 to 66FF Free for general use, for example in button or keys programming.

Offsets in the free range work fine. I tested many switches including some that use bit offset.

Which is the right sequence to follow to use the 66C0 to 66FF range?

At first please not reopen a 2 Year old topic.
Second please explane your question more detailed !

Do you mean the basic usage of custom Offsets... Or do you mean ProSim specific ?

Basicly this offsets are "Free to use" ... That mean "normaly" no other payware AddOn will act there. So you can Write this offsets (and read) by Mobiflight or by a own script.

Note... As Pete Dowson said.... Lots of offsets are still in use if you work with the specific AddOn. For example if you not have installed a PMDG ( if you use Prosim e.g.) you can also use the PMDG Offset range... Cause it is not controlled by FSUIPC aslong no PMDG is installed.
Same for Project Magenta range (that is verry large)

Whatever you can save offsets with using BIT set instead of Bytes.
In Original FSUIPC there exist 4 Byte Boolean Offsets.... But you can controll 32 different Functions Boolean also with 4 Bytes in case of using BIT.

So... It should be no problem to set ALL functions of Prosim to Offsets of your choice !
Good Luck !

Crazy.... Now a 5 Year old Topic is reopend with a question that is fully not related to the thematic !

***************

Whatever....
You find the UpToDate Offset Lists always within your FSUIPC installation.
Located in different folders whatever you use FSUIPC 4/5 ( /flightsim/modules/fsuipc Documents)
OR
FSUIPC 6 (User/Yourname//Documents/FSUIPC )
OR
FSUIPC 7 ( Don´t know.... May also in Documents or within the FSUIPC installation folder)

File is called mostly "Offsetstatus" In older Versions its a PDF.... in new FSUIPC7 its a Excel File.
Good Luck !
