I have a new pushbutton with action EventID to toggle a PMDG state using an event.
The problem is that my pushbutton is of type NC (normally closed) so instead of configuring the On Press action, I configured the On Release action so that the event would be sent when the button is pressed.

Unfortunately it seems that Mobiflight only sends the On Release action if the On Press action is configured. Is this true?

Yes.

I report this in the past.... But there was no rework of that logic.... simply cause 99% of People not need a Release Action without a Press action. !

But solution is pretty simple.... Just set a "FAKE" Command on On Press. For example a Keysend that not is used.... Write a Offset that is not used ... or something else.
Good Luck !

I agree, it's not a common requirement!
I set the eventID and parameter to 0 for the On Press and that allows the On Release to work.

Thanks

Fine... But just think... This will execute a Event on the same Function on release !
Check out if this Event with parameter 0 do "something" in your sim you not like. ( "0" NOT means "Do Nothing" ... 0 also will controll your switch in the Sim ! )

If you use for example "Keysend" and you will send a command that is not used (for example ALT+Ä ) then you can be shure nothing is change in your Simulator !
Good Luck !
